Sequoia Kennels is located in the rural outskirts of Springville, California. We're a one hour drive from the new Sequoia National Monument of the Southern Sierra Nevada. We are 2 hours south of Fresno and 3 hours north of LAX.

Hwy 5 north to 99 north. Just north of Bakersfield take 65 north toward Porterville. Take 190 east about 11.7 miles. You'll cross a creek on a cement bridge. After the creek you'll see the sign for River Island Real Estate on the right. At this point you might notice a sign indicating "Strathmore" and "To Road 320". Another sign at the intersection says "River Island Country Club" Turn left at this intersection. This is poorly signed but is Avenue 176B. You'll follow this down a slight grade 3/10 mile and make a sharp right turn onto Avenue 176. You then turn left onto Road 320. On the right side of the road you'll pass a large teal house, then a weathered barn. Our house is after the barn, on the right. At night you'll see red reflectors on the mailbox post. There's a black mailbox and the address number, 17888.

FROM THE NORTH:

Sequoia Kennels from Highway 5 or 99 NORTH

Start by getting on Highway 198 east through Visalia. After passing through Visalia you’ll come to a stop sign with a Shell gas station, at Hwy 65 and a sign that says Porterville, Exeter - do not turn here - Continue straight through, East.

Continue to the next stoplight, N. Spruce Rd. - Turn Right and proceed south 7.7 miles. At the stoplight with the Chevron turn left onto highway 65/ Tulare Road. (From 99 to Spruce 16.5miles)

Highway 65 goes east then curves south. On 65 you’ll pass a burger king, Texaco, McDonalds: stay on 65 until the next light after these. A total of 5.3 miles from the Chevron at Spruce/65 to Avenue 196. There is a stoplight here and the sign indicates Strathmore. Follow Avenue 196 and it will change to Road 178. About 14.2 miles from Hwy 65 through hilly pasture country.

About 1/10 of a mile before this road hits Hwy 190, turn left onto Avenue 176, then left again onto road 320.On the right side of the road you'll pass a large teal house, then a weathered barn.
